WORKSHOP #15: Ann Arbor

Workshop will be on Monday, February 2, 2026, on campus of University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

The day will begin with breakfast and plenary in Michigan League (911 N University Ave, Ann Arbor, MI), Hussey room on the second floor.

Workshop plan:

The workshop will begin at 8.30AM, and we will end promptly at 5PM (to allow people catch flights that evening).

8.30AM - 9.00AM: check-in, breakfast (Hussey Room)

9.00AM - 9.50AM: plenary session (Hussey Room): Intro, Icebreaker activity (with your table), Working group pitches

10AM - noon: breakout #1 – rooms to be announced at the meeting

12PM: Plenary session (Hussey Room): Quick redouts from groups and plans for the afternoon, discussion of possible new groups

12.30PM: lunch

2PM - 4PM: breakout #2 - breakout groups reassemble

4PM - 5PM: Closing plenary session (Hussey Room), Quick redouts from groups and next steps, group discussion

Accommodations

All participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel arrangements, the organizers do not assist in booking tickets or hotel reservations.

Hotel suggestions:
Graduate Hotel: This is close to the workshop location. University guests can inquire about the UMich Visitor rate via universityservices@gracereservations.com or by calling the hotel and selecting option #2.

Bell Tower Hotel: This is very close to the workshop location.

DoubleTree: This is close to the engineering campus.

Holiday Inn: This is close to the engineering campus.

There are also hotels near downtown Ann Arbor. There are limited visitor parking spaces on campus, but there are public parkades not far away that are within walking distance to the workshop location.
